HY brothers...In order to play quakeMAx fast and with no LAG i decided to post some Crucial caommands that u need to change so u dont get killed because U couldnt mouve or game was lagging..jijijijijij

seta r_skipSky "1"
seta r_shadows "0"
seta r_useSMP "1" for KALAKAZ who have multyCOre processors
seta r_skipBump "1"
seta r_skipSpecular "1"
seta r_skipNewAmbient "1"
seta r_mode "3" is a 640*480 resolution for fastest game reaction but if u find it ugly go for mode "5"(1024*768) but not over that!
seta image_downSizeLimit "256" for a look that quake3 have u set this to "16"
seta image_ignoreHighQuality "1"
seta image_downSizeBumpLimit "256" for a look that quake3 have u set this to "16"
seta image_downSizeSpecularLimit "64" for a look that quake3 have u set this to "4"

seta image_useCache "0" U can set this to 1 but u must also tweak 2 settings under
seta image_cacheMegs "100" 1/4 of your complite ram (256 for machines with 1 gb Ram,384 for machines with more that 1gb of ram,dont go over 384)

Bros this should give u a nice game boost and no lag on server,U can also try this in QUAKE4 1.0 but only some of commands listed here as 1.0 is not complitely multyplayer optimized.Also set your graphick card settings ATI/NVIDIA to fastest performace dont forget that.If u wanna try a program called gameBooster witch will temporary disable windows services running in background and also your Antivirus which can slow your online gaming....

gameBooster .. this is really good advice ... I will try tonight ....

YEAH bro try it I mean windows services are eating a lot of resources from ram and processor and second it is not very safe to disable them because windows can became unstable and u never know when u gonna need some of them back.For those who want to exxperiment with services and speed windows up try webpage called blackViper it has discription of all windows and how to speed them up!!Nice page

Sorry bros i was little absent from webs yes r_skipsky "1" disable sky in quake only avaible in quake4 1.4.2 and max and in quake 3 of course ijijijijij!!!!
